Sitting Vigil At A Deathbed. My brother Michael died. Love Is Possible At Any Age. But do sit vigil beside someone somewhere. But holding vigil letting loved ones cry on shoulders being there holding the hand and wiping the browthat is our job.
The main idea of sitting vigil is to listen stay present and direct your energy and compassion to the one who is dying. Older respondents said they felt better prepared to sit by the bedside. Family members will sit vigil for days without eating or sleeping. Talking about death is stressful for the family and the loved one but much is missed if the opportunity is lost.
